~ High Security Double Glazed Doors ~ Double Glazed Conservatories ~

Initially this is the building that was positioned at the back of this property

Obviously it was not being used to its full potential
Once the existing building was cleared away, the footings were dug and the base was laid

A dwarf wall was built around the base

The dwarf wall was constructed out of breeze blocks

Generally the dwarf wall is three breeze blocks high but sometimes it can be just the two blocks high

Once the breeze block wall has been finished then a Cornish stone wall is built leaving a cavity

This looks good from the outside, prevents from damp and makes it easier to plaster the inside for a smooth finish

The Cornish stone work is tied onto the breeze block work so that they can never come apart

Finally the gap between the two walls has slates over the top to stop any ingress of water and for decorative purposes

This just shows all of the wall finished

The finished conservatory

There are numerous choices for windows and doors

More pleasing on the eye than the initial structure

As you can see the conservatory has extended the living accomodation a great deal
The overall appearance of the conservatory blends in with the house so that it appears that it has been there for a long time

Another view showing how the conservatory blends in

The big windows allow a lot of light to enter the conservatory
Inside you can see how the old exterior wall can be painted to look like an internal wall

A light and airy room

The extra space can be quite an advantage

We have a choice of anti glare sheets that will stop 85% of the suns heat so that the room will not become unbearably hot

A relaxed area to sit and admire the garden in comfort if the weather is not quite warm enough to sit outside

Even in the Winter the conservatory looks warm and inviting
